22. A Vetro!

ORGULLO
O N L i N E
28 November 2005

Someone has asked why do we read like a gossip column? The answer to that is because the Orgullosos are simply sensational! Read episodes #1-3 from last year and we have already covered that issue. We assure you, though, that everything we've included in every episode was based on truth and nothing but. Can't we help it if we are quite a rare delicacy? Read on and salivate at your favorite dish in sexy Orgulloland!

A vetro!

Sizzling Plate. You probably have read already about our sultry Rona's win at her school's Ms. Nursing pageant. Daig pa ang mga contestants sa "Miss World 2005-Vote For Me!" Enhorabuena a Rona. We miss you. And congratulations in advance! We know you're going to be a successful nurse anywhere in the world. A beauty queen/nurse? You'll never be afraid of hospitals anymore.

World Topps. Niña and Martin Manuson are heading to Singapore and Thailand. But Nins, is it November 25-30 or December 25-30? Jetsetter talaga! Also, what was the EU-sponsored conference in Dusit Hotel last Saturday about?

Heaven and Eggs. As Rhoda has said, we're praying for you, Ian. Be back soon!

Central Perk. Mel Espiritu says she probably won't be back this year. Perhaps Christmas next year? Bring home some New York apple, please!

Cravings. Narinig n'yo na ba ang bago? Nagsara na ang Cravings sa Robinson's Place Manila. Tsk. Speaking of new, here's Allan's new cell# 0917-806-6704. Aww, hindi na siya Smart... huhuhu... get it... huhuhu

Star Carrot. Wha-what? It's this little steak place in Robinson's Metro East. Pretty tasty and affordable, but serving is tiny. Kung 'di n'yo alam 'to, ipagtanong na lang sa mga kinauukulan. Like, if we did not ask who Jen Uy was, we probably would not have known. She's Jennifer Uy from Asia Select. She found out about Orgullo thru Irene. Anyway, if you need to contact her for job opportunities, here it is again:

Cainta Yo! Does anyone miss our Sta. Lucia bump car experience?

Superbowl. Heto pa ang maaaring masungkit sa ating superbowl of job opportunities:

JP Morgan has an opening for Spanish QA agents.
Their office is at the PhilAm Life Bldg, in Makati.
You can email your resume/s to:
ethel.dv.ilagan@jpmorgan.com.
Subject: SPANISH QA, Referred by: Chester Bacay.

Jewel, were you the one who sent us a text message about JP Morgan? Are you working there? We assume it's different from JP Morgan Chase which is outsourced by a call center. Or is this the same one? May we ask how much do they offer? Not that it's the most important thing, but the salario still counts as top priority especially these days... Pasko na namang muli... Although, Dimple has a philosophical take on this one. She said, "Choose your work well because at the end of the day it's not what you have earned financially that matters but what you have become the moment you step out of your current jobs. But if you can have both (great salary and job) then go for it!"

Other vacancies that might interest anyone of you (and so we're including them here again):

Trade Language Specialist/Translator
SGS (Societe Generale de Surveillance)
Citibank Tower, Paseo de Roxas
Website:
www.sgs.com
E-mail your resumé (subject: Tade Language Specialist) at
ph_manila_hr@sgs.com

We've heard that there are also openings for Spanish Analysts in Thomson Financial where Dimple, Rhoda and Blossom work. Perhaps that's the reason why Blossom was not let go. So Blossom, balik foot spa sa iyong lunch "hour"? Or do you want to try that adult-movie translator thing sa iWebmasters? Diday, this would be perfect to get an instant green card, if you know what we mean! Hahaha kidding....

Jollibee. We've been told that Armis' e-mail is still armis_bajar@hotmail.com. It's just that, it's always full. So busy like our favorite bee!

Steak Town. Don says there's this great steak place somewhere in QC. It's not Steak Town but it's supposed to be great. We're going to tell you all about it soon as soon as we taste it. Nope, it's not Cheapstake in ABS-CBN's The Loop. Although the food there is good and cheap, you should avoid the a**hole waiter who probably would be taking your order. Oops, what have we learned from last week's Food for the Soul? Careful!

Cable Car. Since you'll be working in Eastwood from now on, Henz (care to tell us how much a "much better salario" in BayanTrade implies? Hehehe), you might want to try Cable Car. Not too expensive, nice food, loud TV. But there are a lot of other restaurantes in Libis so you would not get hungry. From a turo-turo near Pizza Hut to Teriyaki Boy to Alba's to Italianni's, you'd be able to find something that suits your taste and budget.

Italianni's. Speaking of, this is going to be the site of our Orgullo Xmas Party. Set the date, buy a gift, spread the love. Italianni's Gateway, most likely. Is December 23 dinner time ok? Feedback, people. =)

Burp! (Excuse us...)

Issue #25 is just around the corner! It'll be a golden treasure, we're telling ya.

Dito sa Orgullo News Online, sarrrap to da bones talaga!

Next Issue: Dear Lovenotes...
